Pure Med Spa was founded in 2021 by Lucy Silva, a professional with 25 years experience in the aesthetic industry and former co-owner of Spa Noa in Reston, Virginia.
Her vision for this new location is one of inclusivity, where a zen spa like atmosphere meets medical aesthetics.
Lucy is continuously pursuing the latest and greatest in aesthetic procedures and techniques in order to provide the best possible experience for our clients.
From our spa services to our medical aesthetic services you can rest assured that each of our providers will put together the best possible treatment plan for any and all of your aesthetic needs.
Pure Med Spa pulled together a team of multicultural professionals who are at the top of their respective fields, and who constantly undergo training in the industry’s cutting edge services.
Most of our staff is bilingual, languages spoken in the spa are, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese.

Lucy Silva
Owner & Founder
Aesthetician
Lucy Silva has worked in the medical aesthetic industry for over 25 years. She has worked with and trained by some of northern Virginia and DC top plastic surgeons and dermatologists.
Her extensive knowledge in skin conditions and medical grade skin care, has helped thousands of her clients not only achieve beautiful, radiant skin but prevent skin diseases and overall healthier skin. She is a certified laser technician as well as RF and Microneedling.
Lucy is a specialist in the field of Melasma and anti-aging conditions. Her passion and expertise makes her one of the best aestheticians in Northern Virginia.
Bruce Freedman
Bruce Freedman, MD – Plastic Surgeon, Medical Director
Bruce M. Freedman, M.D., FACS, a noted plastic surgeon focused on creating beautiful, natural results through a spectrum of surgical and non-surgical services.
Freedman graduated from Duke University School of Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and published in more than 40 medical journals and textbooks.
He continues to perform research and lectures nationally on the latest developments in cosmetic surgery. Currently, Dr. Freedman serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Reston Hospital Center. Dr Freedman oversees all medical
and aesthetic staff here at Pure Med Spa to ensure the best treatment plans and results.
Shalene Persico
Shalene Persico, L.M.E. - Lead Master Aesthetician
Shalene’s passion for Aesthetics sprouted from her love of beauty and fashion, influencing her to move to New York City from Trinidad. She has worked with Anastasia and Tom Ford cosmetics, catering to high profile clients.
Committed to her trade, with 33 years experience, Shalene continues to search for innovative ways to achieve lasting results. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay informed of the newest trends and has built an extensive repertoire of coveted techniques.
Shalene understands that no two skin conditions are the same, and is committed to building a customized program for each individual, ensuring effective and sustainable results.
Shalene loves applying her advanced knowledge to treatments such as Laser Genesis, Medical-Grade Chemical Peels, MultiMask Treatments, Dermaplaning, CoolPeel laser, IPL and Customized Consultations.

With over 18 years of management experience in Plastic Surgery, Dermatology and MedSpa, Cheila is the director of operations at Pure Med Spa. From day-to-day practice interactions to client events and staff education, Cheila is passionate about client experiences and ensuring the highest level of customer service. She ensures the flow and efficiency of the team meets our highest standard where every client is treated promptly, comprehensively, and with a smile.
With her extensive experience and passion for this field, she is also the provider for Body Contouring treatments. She enjoys the opportunity to meet and guide clients through their journey and achieving their desired goals.
Gretchen Chapman
Gretchen Chapman, RN
Certified Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Gretchen is a Registered Nurse specializing in the field of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Aesthetic Nursing.
She has over 24 years nursing experience and multiple certifications in Cosmetic Injections, to include: Fundamental, Advanced, and Master’s certificates. Gretchen provides superb service using the best and newest products with the most modern techniques to deliver stunning results. Gretchen is diligent about staying current and enjoys continuing her education and training by attending monthly lectures or seminars, hands-on peer trainings & meetups, and brand product injection training videos.
She is blessed to have a very loyal client base and is welcoming new clients as well. She is devoted to helping her clients feel beautiful and youthful. “I absolutely LOVE what I do. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a client in awe of their treatment results.”
Jerusha Mitchell
B.E.S.T. Therapist
Jerusha joined the Pure Med Spa team in the fall of 2022 as their resident BEST Practitioner (BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique). Her work involves identifying “blocks” to their physical and life goals and resetting their central nervous system’s “fight or flight” response.
She comes to Pure Med with a degree in Biology with a concentration in Anatomy and Physiology. After over 10 years as a Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor in three formats, in 2013 she began working with clients to meet their fitness and weight objectives as a NASM certified Personal Trainer.
Her collaboration with Pure Med Spa allows for clients to experience beauty and wholeness truly from the inside out. She often leverages B.E.S.T, Life Coaching and being a Personal Trainer as a blended approach to help clients move past the “roller coaster struggle” of striving for an objective. She can work with you to find a beautiful balance of confidence nutritionally, physically and mentally in addition to the other transformational services offered by Pure Med Spa.
Stephanie Silva
Front Desk and Certified Lash and Brow tech
Stephanie has been in the beauty industry since 2018, with her client engagement experience within the aesthetic industry, she is well suited to help you begin your journey to achieving your desired results.
She has been trained by Zo Skin Health, IS clinical, Neocutis, Topix, Revision SkinCare, Skinade which makes her an expert in recommending skin care products. Currently enrolling in aesthetician school, she will be our future esthetician. She is also bilingual in Portuguese and english.
Stephanie is a Certified Lash and Brow technician, specializing in lash extensions, lash liPs and brow lamina,on.
Rumy Love
Permanent Make-up Artist
Rumy Love is a licensed, Board Certified Cosmetic Tattoo Artist who specializes in eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. Rumy attended Parson School of Design in New York City where he studied graphic design, and advertisement.
At Parsons Rumy honed his artist skills, my mastering color theory, and understanding the aesthetics of balance and symmetry in design. Rumy is also a trained makeup artist who has been doing make up for seven years. His education in the arts, and his passion for makeup artistry go hand in hand to create the perfect lip, eye brow and eyeliner shape unique to each client.
